IN•TEL•LEC•TU•AL (n.)

A bright bookworm;

a sophisticate who can speak on many subjects;

 a lovely and loquacious literate

While I would wear this outfit any day of the week, the real recommendations are the reads. I have just finished After Visiting Friends and The Art of Fielding, and the final, Death Comes to Pemberley, is sitting on my bedside now. Though I have not read the Jane Austin adaptation yet, I have heard so many nice things about it I felt confident recommending it.

Do any of you have any great book recommendations? I would love to add to my reading list!

figurative :

Printed Silk Shirt ($190)   •  Cotton and Linen Shorts ($189)  •  Ava Sandals ($250)  •  Warby Parker Edgeworth Glasses ($145)  •  Trapezium Brass bangle ($81 – I would love these in groups of three or maybe even four!)  •  The Essex Tote ($218)

  1. Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, The Language of Flowers, The Thorn Birds- all amazing stores of love and loss that capture you and leave you wanting more!

  2. I just scooped up Gone Girl as well and I hear it’s amazing!! And I am dying for that shirt and those scallop shorts are adorns! Have you tried any of the WP glasses, I am in the market for a new pair??

  3. I would recommend The Paris Wife, if you haven’t already read it, I’ll third the recommendation for Rules of Civility, and also suggest, Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore as a very fun read. I adore those scalloped shorts above!

  4. What did you think about The Art of Fielding? I read it last May…really enjoyed the portrayal of both father and daughter, even though it was sad. Currently I’m finishing up Sophie’s World after a three year hiatus, don’t know what I’m scooping up after that =)
