The first look of this week’s TAKE NOTE is from Troubadour’s new Spring collection seen here. After a successful stint with Madewell 1937 in New York, the designer, Lindsey Carter, relocated to Charleston and got to work on her own clothing line. I truly love her new collection and cannot wait to see it in real life! I was invited to their luncheon this Friday to celebrate the launch! The weekend can’t come soon enough!
I feel in love with the color and sweet shape of these Topshop Marnie Pointed Flats $56
I’ve made mention of my current random obsession with polka dots so the new Rochas Resort Collection was an easy eye-pleaser for me. Check out the collection here
The embroidery work on this flower shell top $56 is so sweet but would also pair really well with a structured bag and trouser pant for a more modern look.
This incredible celestial bar was designed by Miles Redd for my old employer, Danielle Rollins and featured in the March 2013 issue of Veranda. I worked with Danielle for a year right out of college as an Andy Sachs-esque personal assistant and learned so much! Working in her home was a dream. In typical Miles Redd style, each room is total perfection. Its so fun so see the published pictures and remember being there everyday.
These Tibi starfish pleated pants $350 are such fun. I am debating getting the matching tunic dress $375 myself! Black and white really is my go to so I know it would get some serious wear. What do you think?
That bar is amazing! I also love the Topshop shoes.

Alyssa – That bar is something serious! the ceiling is a hand painted celestial sky. Gorgeous!
Thank you for showing us Troubadour. I love the slit front pants, but didn’t see them on their website.
I have been a huge lover of polkadots, but I am almost getting sick of them, I’ve seen them soooo much. Chelsea Fuss even featured a polkadot bike (love!). I agree with the starfish pants- you need those! Tibi just kills it every time.
Teri – Troubadour is wonderful! They are launching that collection any day now so I am sure you will be able to shop it soon!
I love the first look and the mixed polka dots suiting outfit. You’re blog is so great and I’m really in love with everything you’ve been posting lately!
xoxo,

Chelsea – So sweet of you to say. You have no idea how much I like to hear that!
I don’t know how you got anything done working in Danielle Rollin’s house! I would have pondered about all day enchanted by the beauty!
Christine – true story. The first week was a little inefficient haha
