GREEN LEAVES

I was terribly excited to find Paule Marrot’s Green Leaves Print at Lola & Bess yesterday. Though I am decently familiar with her work, I had yet to see this one in particular. Such a nice balance between sophistication and playfulness. It easily inspired this collection of things. Happy Tuesday!

 NATURAL LIGHT

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I spent mine antique shopping, sleeping in, and breaking in some new sandals.  It was easy, and happy and just what I needed. After a work-filled week without blogging, it feels really nice to share everything that I have been inspired by lately.

With the weather warming up in Charleston I am starting to gravitate toward clean lines, natural colors, and the balance of bohemian and modern aesthetics in decor and fashion pieces.

The sandals and jewelry bouncing around the web have really been the standouts for me. This Honeycomb cuff and Conwell Studs are both fabulous and really affordable, and only Trademark could make Cicadas look that cool   ••   Candela NYC has such a fun energy this season. Their fringe and shell sandals are sophisticated yet make such a big statement. But it goes beyond their shoes. I love the ready to wear too. So different    ••    I am thrilled to finally have a few line drawings from Wayne Pate. I ordered the book last week and was eagerly awaiting it’s arrival. I can’t decide what I will frame first  ••  After watching this post come together I have a feeling my summer wardrobe will consist of crisp cut outs, textured neutrals, and easy stripes. It was so hard for me to narrow down. I pulled the trigger on this Club Monaco zip skirt and cut away dress for a couple events and I really hope they work out. They touch on trendy but the general shape is still so classic.

THE DECORATION OF HOUSES

Having just spent my very small fortune framing about 10 pieces for our home, this T Magazine video by Rita Konig made me feel a bit better about it. There is so much truth to her advice. I believe art is always worth it.

Though it is only Thursday, this will be my end of week blog post. I am hopping a plane to New Orleans in about 3 hours and am going to try to truly check out (sans instagram.)

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! I am going to try to have one of my own! Best to all!
