Ever since I saw Carolyn Carr’s work in Ann Mashburn this past weekend, I have had her work on my mind.  Her simple strokes make such a strong statement and each one of her pieces has a tactile element that adds to the attraction (most are done on stretched linen.) My recent love affair pushed me to dig around the internet to find artists with similar aesthetics (Millei Waves Artwork  //  Paule Marrot Teal Beads) and has certainly been affecting my eye as the objects I have been lusting over are going a little more graphic.

I snagged the Kiss Kiss Tee on my last trip to J.Crew along with the Tossed Heart Blouse. Will be fun to pop under a little moto or canvas jacket. Both had a feminine graphic flair.  I also loved this little Quilted Pup Sweatshirt and Sam Edelman Fringe booties. Beyond the wardrobe finds, I feel in love with the clean lines of this Arteriors Swivel Stool. It makes me wish we had a kitchen bar or lived in an industrial loft. And these two little accents – the Silver Antler Sculpture and Decoupage Chains Tray - caught my eye! So much to love!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I spent mine on a work and play trip to Atlanta and was re-reminded about everything I miss from my year-long stint there. Atlanta is wonderful because you have small local restaurants and incredible boutique shops but also fabulous chains and big city shopping. There is a great balance in that and I enjoyed both sides all weekend long. While perusing Neiman Marcus  (I always have to go – we don’t have one within 300 miles) I stumbled upon a new-to-me handbag designer, Time’s Arrow. I dont know if I have been living under a rock (maybe) but these handbags are just wonderful. The leather is so incredibly soft, and the design is sleek yet still fun. There is no ostentatiousness with the brand (which I love) and they feel timeless in their sophisticated simplicity. My favorites were the Gya clutch and the Mini Trilogy Crossbody but the larger styles are wonderful too. I loved them so much I wanted to create a word study around it. I picked the word resilient because most all of these pieces are a little tough in their timelessness… an easy jean jacket, oxfords, the classic knot. This Saloni frill dress is super fun and feminine but paired with these Pour La Victoire monk straps, Time’s Arrow crossbody bag, and washed denim jacket, you start to get a look that is more sturdy than sweet.  I hope you enjoy it!
